Worcester Kite Festival is a celebration of culture with the goal of bringing communities together through the art and traditions of kite flying.
While kites take many forms around the world, they share a common purpose … bringing people together through creativity, storytelling, celebration, and connection.
The Story Behind Worcester’s 1st Kite Festival
What started as conversations among friends who care deeply about community, culture, and the joy of kite-flying has grown into a collaborative effort involving organizations, artists, and community partners from across New England and beyond. In its first year, the festival honors the rich kite traditions found across Asia, North Africa, North and Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East while creating a space for people of all backgrounds to come together, connect, and celebrate.
